I've So Much To Tell You...
This work is inspired by my travels across the United States,
illustrated botanical guides, and cartoons. Focusing first on
form and color, I began to rearrange chunks of earth, plants,
and sky to create a new stage with its own characters—
autonomous landmasses, anthropomorphic vegetation, and
neon piles of organic matter. In this world, unseen creatures
leave evidence of their activities in the form of abandoned
woodland sculptures and dwellings built from sticks and
stones. Like them, I use what tools I have in hopes of
creating order within a strange and indefinite landscape.
